![]() i was unable to get out of the cave i had entered, and i could clip through the map. i opened a door, walked through it, the door closed.it is so boring to stand there blocking until your rage meter fills up. many of the other abilities are for puzzle solving, or for doing high damage to enemies when you block enough attacks.all the other abilities that are not stealth.everything about kain's movement is stiff, and the combat features an extremely primitive attack / counter system that just does not work.this story contradicts the other games, is trope-y as hell, and treats female characters like sex objects.it goes through a few phases, where you have to use the environment (and a combination of abilities) to beat back the beast. one of the best levels is an asylum where you fight a crazed vampire at the end. some of the boss battles are pretty creative.when there is fog around, you can use stealth to silently kill enemies, which is pretty satisfying (and some hilarious animations accompany it).the stealth mechanic is good (though very limited).But, I think I need to review it to play Defiance (and get past BO2), so here's my writeup.
